Write Your Best-Ever Resume with These 7 Questions
The most common complaint I hear on resume consultation calls is: "I just don't know how to talk about myself."
That's the issue with resumes, you're bragging about yourself, and then on top of that, you're working to figure out your document formatting, modern resume standards, and then answering dreaded questions like, "should I use color?"
I'll address the color question in my next article. But for now, let's talk about you.
It's uncomfortable. I know.
It feels boastful and conceited, or worse, like you have nothing to brag about in the first place. Trust me, you do. I don't care if your job was bagging groceries - you have plenty to talk about.
So, trust me for a minute. Grab a sheet of paper and write down these seven questions.
For each one, write down whatever comes to mind.
Don't overthink it.
When you have these questions answered, use them as a base to begin crafting your resume's content. Or, send your answers to these questions to your resume writer.
They'll appreciate it. I promise.
If you need a resume writer, I'm here. But, remember that you already have the tools you need.
Good luck with your job search!
