It's almost 2019 and I'm a huge fan of "if it's not written down, it's not real", particularly when it comes time to goals.
Goals are not New Years resolutions, they are things that you want to accomplish in the 365 days that comprise a year. Every year, I like to spend the closing days of the year thinking about what I accomplished that year and what I want to accomplish in the coming year. Once I've narrowed it down to 3-5 specific, measurable goals, I write them on a piece of paper. I carry that paper with me in my brief case and try to look at it at least 3 times/month. Sometimes I visualize what it will feel like to accomplish a goal.
