WRIC-TV welcomes Constance Jones to the 8News anchor desk
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — WRIC is excited to welcome Constance Jones to Richmond and introduce her as the new evening anchor for 8News.
Constance brings over 15 years of experience in journalism, reporting and anchoring from major markets, including Miami, New York City, Oklahoma City and Atlanta.
She has been honored by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the Texas Associated Press, and the National Association of Black Journalists for Excellence in News Reporting. She was also featured in Miami’s Top 40 Leaders under 40 in Legacy Magazine.
Constance was born in Stuttgart, Germany and spent most of her childhood overseas. She and her husband are excited to now call Richmond home. She is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

“Its something that’s in you,” Constance said about her passion for journalism. “You want to be there, in the know, and make sure other people know.
“Our responsibility as journalists is to be watchdogs for the community, and keep our eyes open for wrongdoing.”
Constance will join Juan Conde and Chief Meteorologist John Bernier on the anchor desk weeknights for 8News at 5, 5:30, 6 and 11.
