DigiGreen 2024 ??
DigiGreen 2024 brought us so much positive feedback, and we’re still relishing the excitement and success of the event! ?? We’re excited to announce that DigiGreen 2025 already has a date—mark your calendars for June 5th! ??
DigiGreen 2024 united over 30 sustainability enthusiasts and experts from across the Baltics. Key discussions covered clean technologies, green finance, and biotechnological innovations, with highlights including the 2023 Lithuanian #cleantech report and a €10,000 Demo Day prize awarded to Latvian startup HONICS for their breakthrough in green hydrogen production.
Tech for Good ??
Vilnius TechFusion Startup Awards 2023 celebrated the vibrant startup ecosystem with inspiring discussions, networking, and recognition of outstanding achievements. Highlights included panel talks on 2023 reflections and 2024 trends, led by industry leaders, and awards honoring best startups.
Sunrise Tech Park introduced a new nomination - “Tech for Good” which serves as a testament to technology’s potential to steer Lithuania towards a cleaner, more sustainable future. The winner of the nomination was PVcase - company that creates advanced software to break logjams in the engineering and construction of renewable energy projects, making them less labor-intensive, time-consuming, and complicated.

Startup World Cup 2024 ??
In 2024 Sunrise Tech Park brought Startup World Cup competition to the Baltics. The competition was a remarkable celebration of innovation, bringing together top-tier startups, visionary ideas, and inspiring discussions. From groundbreaking technologies to sustainable solutions, the event showcased the immense potential of the Baltic startup ecosystem.
With Salesforge emerging as the winner, they brought the region's ambition and creativity to the global stage at the grand finals in Silicon Valley, competing for a $1 million investment prize.

CleanTech Catalyst ??
Last spring we’ve launched the first Cleantech incubator not only in Lithuania, but in all the Baltics - Cleantech Catalyst!
In the context of the planet’s decarbonization mission and climate challenges, innovation in cleantech and sustainability initiatives are crucial. Understanding the urgency of the situation, we aim to contribute to positive changes. Cleantech Catalyst is a 6-month cleantech incubator program for early-stage startups operating in the cleantech sector, focusing on areas such as energy, resources, mobility, and the circular economy.
In this Cleantech Catalyst incubation program competed seven teams, that presented innovative sustainable business ideas that had been developed in the Sunrise Tech Park incubator for three months. The winner of the program was the startup HONICS. By developing high-intensity UV-V and UV-C sources for use with photo catalysts, HONICS ensures more efficient, faster, and cheaper green hydrogen production. Hack4Vilnius ??
For the seventh year in a row, we joined forces with Vilnius University and Vilnius Tech to bring Hack4Vilnius 2024 to life. ?? The event was packed with excitement and inspiration, leaving a lasting impression on everyone involved.
Out of 290 people who registered, 106 were chosen to take part. In just 50 hours, 28 teams unleashed a wave of creativity, presenting exciting ideas to shape the future of Vilnius!
The proposed solutions focus on enhancing schoolchildren's social responsibility, promoting sustainable mobility within the city, and supporting the integration of people with disabilities and foreigners in Lithuania. Cybersecurity and secure programming were also key highlights of the event. The atmosphere buzzed with energy, fueled by intense teamwork, insightful mentoring sessions, and an overwhelmingly positive vibe! ??
Project Activities
Startup_LAB ??
Started this year, the project has taken off with great energy! ??
Three incubators were launched in Lithuanian cities: Alytus, Druskininkai, and Bir?ai. We’ve also hosted two hackathons and two info days! ??
Startup_LAB comprehensive program aims to facilitate the evolution of innovative products and services and establish new startups within the regions. Comprising a series of thoroughly planned stages, Startup_LAB will administer a gradual program tailored to address various requirements and stages of business inception.
And next year will be full of action: a 6-week business acceleration program will begin for selected startups. ??

Seeds of Bravery ??
The UAseeds project in 2024 focused on supporting the development of Ukrainian technology startups and their integration into European innovation ecosystems. Sunrise Tech Park played an active role in promoting funding opportunities in the five UAseeds programs. This effort resulted in 868 applications, with 136 startups receiving financial support. ??
One of the key contributions was the creation of an ecosystem map, identifying crucial organizations in Lithuania that could support Ukrainian startups in scaling up within the Baltic and European markets. Additionally, Sunrise Tech Park organized impactful events such as the Market Discovery Workshop for the Baltics, where representatives from Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia shared practical insights on market entry strategies.
In collaboration with international partners, the Softlanding Workshop on Energy & Climate offered sector-specific expertise with speakers from Plug & Play, Climate KIC, and others, providing startups with knowledge about trends, support mechanisms, and networking strategies. Other initiatives included the Proposal Writing Bootcamp, where startups learned about cascading funding and proposal preparation, and the Science2Business Seminar, which explored collaboration opportunities between science and industry.
The year culminated with a successful Demo Day for the Baltics, where 13 Ukrainian startups presented their ideas to investors and experts, receiving valuable feedback and partnership opportunities. Sunrise Tech Park also delivered focused programs like Market Fast Track, Deep Tech Acceleration, and Deep Tech Incubation, offering startups practical skills, mentorship, and resources to refine their business models and scale effectively. These activities showcased Sunrise Tech Park’s commitment to strengthening the Ukrainian startup ecosystem and fostering cross-border innovation. ??

Traxlo ??
Our community members, Traxlo, have won the top prize at the Startup World Cup semi-finals! ?? With such a strong start, we’re confident that equally impressive success awaits them in the finals in SiliconValley! ??
Traxlo is developing a sensor and machine learning platform that enables retail and logistics companies to gain precise insights into their operations. By analyzing the movement of work equipment and employees, the platform creates a sensor system that provides a convenient 3D view of activities within a sales floor or logistics warehouse. ??
BioHifas ??
Cleantech Catalyst program alumni, Biohifas, had an exceptionally productive and dynamic year. ???
In addition to participatin in the Cleantech Catalyst incubation program, Biohifas was selected as one of the 10 finalists to compete in the Startup Worl Cup Baltic Regional. ?? Later in the year, Biohifas was chosen to participate in the GOAL Program, part of the Startup Lithuania Accelerator powered by Plug and Play. This program offers a six-week immersion into the Sillicon Valley ecosystem, designed to enable early-stage tech stratups to explore business development, fundraising, and strategic opportunities. ??
Biohifas is a pioneering startup at the forefront of sustainability, leveraging fungal fermentation technology to transform industrial food by-products into high-nutrition food products. This innovative approach addresses food waste while contributing to the development of sustainable food sources, marking an important step towards a circular economy in the food industry. ??
Vital3D ??
Vital3D, a Lithuanian biotech company founded in 2021, pioneers advanced 3D bioprinting solutions for medical research, drug discovery, and regenerative medicine. ??
Specializing in kidney bioprinting, the company’s innovative laser-based FemtoBrush technology enables precise and efficient organ printing. While fully functional bioprinted organs remain a future goal, Vital3D is advancing organ-on-a-chip models, revolutionizing research with more humane and effective methods. Through cutting-edge technology, Vital3D is shaping the future of personalized medicine. ??
