Wrapping up Women’s History Month with some hot takes and an interview with the woman who’s spearheading the social sex revolution ??
B2BeeMatch
B2B lead generation & business networking platform built for small and medium businesses.
?? Welcome to B2BeeMatch Connections. We’re almost at the end of Women’s History Month, so we decided to deliver a little something on topic—or, well, kind of on topic. Instead of looking at the history of women in business, this issue is all about the current state of women in business, what B2BeeMatch is doing to push back against the difficulties that women in business face, and what the women in our international B2B community are doing to run their businesses, live their lives, and sometimes even “blow shit up.”
?? If you’re like us, your head might explode when you find out that 43% of people think that men make better business executives than women
We’ve come a long way, but women in business still face many challenges.?
Did you know that 43 percent of people around the world think that men make better business executives than women? Yup. Gender bias continues to be a problem in every corner of the globe.?
This issue with gender bias may partially explain why we continue to see a lack of women in leadership roles. For example, while the number of women in the C-suite has increased from 17 to 28 percent since 2015 in corporate Canada and America, and while women now hold 28 percent of managerial positions globally, we’re still a looooong way from equal representation.?
In addition, the data suggests there are serious challenges facing women founders. In the US, companies founded by women received just 2% of the total capital invested in venture-backed startups in 2023. So, while VC funding has increased dramatically in recent years, the number of women founders who benefit from that funding simply hasn’t kept pace.?
We have a long way to go before we reach gender equality in business, but we hope you’ll join us on the journey.
?? Join us as we push back against the many challenges that women in business face on a daily basis??
At B2BeeMatch, we believe that diversity is our strength. As a women-owned company, we’re committed to pushing back against the challenges that women in business face on a daily basis. Keep reading to discover a few of the ways we do that.?

We’re attending, supporting, and participating in events for women in business?
We make sure that women in business are seen and heard when we regularly attend, support, and participate in events specifically for women in business such as the Women in IT Summit & Awards Series , The Voices in the Shadow Festival (watch our CEO’s keynote here!), other GTA Black Women In Tech events, and many more.
We’re partnering with organizations to help women in business
Canadian Women's Chamber of Commerce (CanWCC) is the first and only national chamber of commerce dedicated to women and non-binary business owners in Canada. Founder and CEO Nancy Wilson and her team work towards gender equality in business for their members and for women and non-binary persons across the country. In 2021, CanWCC became one of our first strategic partners. We teamed up with CanWCC to help change the way women and non-binary entrepreneurs do business in Canada.?
COMING SOON: We’re launching a program to support women-owned businesses
We’re designing NYX specifically to support women-owned businesses. We’re actively seeking government agencies, funding bodies, business associations, NGOs, and private companies that want to target women-owned businesses for concrete offers and opportunities, such as RFPs, funding, and more. Right now, this program is still being developed. But, once we launch, we’ll use our AI-powered matchmaking to connect the women-owned businesses on our platform with the offers and opportunities that are right for them.?
