Wrapping Up Successful Exchanges with Our Planning Software Users

Awareness, punctuality, and efficiency in airport ground operations.
Connect, Discuss, and Share – this is the driving force behind our GroundStar community. Made up of aviation professionals from around the world, this community is one we actively engage with to explore the key topics driving the industry forward. Even before the GroundStar (GS) Planning Product Exchanges came to life, we recognized the need for more opportunities to foster meaningful interactions with our users. As remote work and virtual connections have grown stronger, we sought to create a format that enables planning software users to connect from anywhere.
Last year, we brought this idea to fruition with the first Product Exchange. Following the overwhelmingly positive feedback, we organized two more insightful virtual sessions for 2024 – one on April 30th and another on September 24th. Across both sessions, most attendees came from the Americas (47%) and Europe (38%).
In retrospect, we couldn't be more pleased with the results.
BUILDING A STRONG PLANNING SOFTWARE COMMUNITY
When we launched the GS Planning Product Exchange, our goal was straightforward: bring planning professionals together to share expert insights, explore the latest developments in GroundStar, and exchange real-world experiences. It's about creating a platform where users can discuss challenges, share successes, and learn from each other’s expertise.
Managing staff and equipment in complex airport environments is no small feat. The ongoing shortage of qualified manpower, particularly in some regions, makes every resource decision critical. We believe that collaboration leads to better solutions. Our customers are not just users; they are key contributors who help shape the future of our planning software, ensuring it meets their evolving needs.

LOOKING FORWARD TO 2025
One of the most rewarding aspects of these exchanges is the warm reception from our planning software users. Their enthusiasm motivates us to continue the GS Planning Product Exchanges in 2025, fostering even deeper connections with our community.
In today’s fast-changing landscape, staying connected with industry peers is more important than ever. These exchanges provide an invaluable opportunity for professionals to share knowledge and stay ahead of industry trends. From the sessions so far, it’s clear that our customers value staying in touch not just with us at INFORM but with each other, learning from shared experiences.
As we look ahead, we’re excited for the future of these exchanges. The desire for collaboration is something we’re eager to build upon even further. Together, we’re not just solving today’s problems – we’re shaping the future of optimized staff and equipment planning.
