Wrapping up a global design journey: highlights from this year's Around Design Events

Eight events set in five of the most important design cities: this year “Around Design. Meet. Talk. Connect”, the cycle of talks organized by Atlas Concorde took to the international scene to bring together a community of architects and interior designers. The values of meeting, debating, and sharing experiences are the main focus of this incredible roadshow, and the contributions from valuable media partners and outstanding speakers gave a unique perspective on the design world.

New perspectives in the capitals of Design

From Dubai to London and Milan, making a stop in Berlin and Stuttgart. The traveling series of talks and meetings kicked off its first event in Dubai in February with a roundtable on the topic of “The Niemeyer Guest House Renovation - A tale of architecture’s capacity for repair” welcoming the EAST Architecture Studio as guest speakers.?

A full circle coming to a close in December in London, where the Atlas Concorde London Studio hosted a final roundtable moderated by Mix Interiors , focusing on the topic of blending luxury and practicality in the workplace. We had the pleasure of hosting HLW , Scott Brownrigg , ID:SR Sheppard Robson , Squire & Partners , tp bennett , and 穆氏建筑设计 M Moser Associates .

Innovation at the forefront?

At the heart of Around Design lies a commitment to innovation. Each event in the series offers a unique exploration of cutting-edge design concepts, architectural solutions, and technological advancements.?

The impact of ESG insights on investment strategies and the relationship between real estate and design was the central topic of the second event of the year, once again hosted in our London showroom in collaboration with THE PLAN . Our guest speakers HADI TEHERANI , Grow Places , and Currie & Brown came together to discuss the rethinking of urban design.

Across the globe, in the exclusive setting of the Atlas Concorde Terrace in the heart of Dubai Design District, a special edition of Around Design took place during Dubai Design Week, the Middle East’s most important design event. In collaboration with Love That Design , we welcomed DSA Architects International ,? Ink Design , Al Balad Development Company , and Bond Interiors for a thought-provoking discussion titled “The path to Saudi Arabia”.

Collaboration and creativity to face new challenges

The Around Design journey wasn't just a showcase but a celebration of creativity, innovation, and global collaboration. Architects, designers, and design enthusiasts came together, exchanged ideas, and left inspired to reshape the future of design.

Around Design made two stops in our Atlas Concorde Studio Milano showroom, in the heart of the Italian capital of design. The first event, in collaboration with Interni, focused on the new challenges that this ever-growing metropolis is facing, and it was moderated by journalist patrizia catalano , with Peluffo & Partners and MAD architects as guest speakers. The second event once again focused on Milan’s urban development, this time in relation to the upcoming Winter Olympics of 2026, with Studio Barreca e La Varra and 奥雅纳 .?

Berlin hosted one of the summer events in the charming Wilmina boutique hotel that served as the protagonist of the talk, given by Grüntuch Ernst Architects, and focused on design strategies for urban redevelopment projects. We came back to Germany in the fall, meeting at Studio Amore in Stuttgart to discuss how architecture can interpret the concept of space, surface, material, and color to create seamless spaces with Peter Pichler Architecture and AIT - Architektur Innenarchitektur Technischer Ausbau.
