Wrapping up another exciting edition of the 10th Ecowaste Exhibition and Conference

Last week, Tadweer Group concluded the 10th edition of the Ecowaste Exhibition and Conference, a leading platform for energy and sustainability experts to discuss potential solutions for our future.??

At this milestone edition, our presence was prominent with two stands, for the first time, within both EcoWASTE, and the Energy Zone at the World Future Energy Summit.??

At the EcoWASTE stand, we showcased our support for sustainability projects, introduced the first Tadweer Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) and launched Tadweer Rewards, an incentive app to encourage recycling.??

Our second stand, located in the Energy Zone, demonstrated our initiatives and projects focusing on waste as an alternative resource. This included showcasing our work in converting waste to energy, sustainable aviation fuel, hydrogen, and biofuels.??

Our Community Engagement activities were an important element to our stand activity at the Exhibition, as we presented our Educational Toolkit and displayed interactive screens with more details on the importance of a strong recycling infrastructure.??

During the Exhibition, we announced the winners of our two main, sustainability focused competitions, “Waste to Art” and the “Sustainable Stand”. The first contest invited university and high school students across Abu Dhabi, Al Dhafra and Al Ain to think creatively as they created masterpieces from recycled materials. The second invited exhibitors to showcase their commitment to sustainability by harnessing innovation to re-use resources in order to develop their stands. We were delighted to witness the community’s support for a clean environment and thank each entity for their hard work!?

For the wider Conference, we were proud to reaffirm our contributions to the UAE’s sustainability agenda with our senior team hosting and engaging in several panel discussions and presentations. From viewing waste as an alternative resource, to diving deeper into our global Waste to Zero initiative for decarbonisation, we continued to promote unlocking un-utilised resources for a greener tomorrow.??

We also harnessed this important opportunity to share several key announcements and sign strategic agreements:?

? 1. We partnered with Nadeera to deploy 25 Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) which collect plastic bottles and aluminium cans. We also launched the Tadweer Rewards mobile application to promote recycling and responsible waste disposal.??

? 2. Building on our sustainability efforts, we signed an agreement with ADNEC Group to strengthen collaboration in our sector.??

? 3. To expand our international portfolio, we agreed to a joint venture with UK-based climate leader Levidian , to collaborate on international waste decarbonisation projects.??

4. Finally, we teamed up with TOMRA , a leading e-waste services company, to establish a nationwide voluntary bottle return programme using TOMRA's Reverse Vending Machines designed for beverage PET bottles, cans, and glass bottles.?

We thank our partners and stakeholders for their support as we continue to promote waste as a valuable resource, unlock the circular economy and demonstrate the value of waste conversion opportunities.??

Stay tuned to our social media channels to see how we promote environmental conservation and sustainability.?
