It's the last part of AEP! The home stretch!
Past studies have shown the beginning of AEP and the end of AEP are the two busiest parts, so grab that double-shot espresso latte thing, and let's finish strong!
Here are 5 tips to make sure you are ending on a high note:
- Double-check apps - Remember the last app wins. Send a quick note or contact your past enrollments to make sure there are no lingering issues or concerns. Or, if they called one of those 1-800 numbers that they should contact you!
- Nudge those prospects on the fence - If you have prospects who are still undecided, make sure they know December 7th is the last day of enrollment. Yes, there is OEP, but that is only for MA plans. Your Medicare supplement / Part D clients cannot utilize OEP.
- Double-check your CRM - Are there any clients, prospects, or leads who have fallen through the cracks? Make sure all your contacts in your CRM have been touched!
- Reminder/referral newsletter - Send out a newsletter to all your email contacts to remind them if they made a decision they are good to go. Or, if they have a not (or have family or friends who are still considering switching) to contact you! Don't have a newsletter, now is the time to get one!!!
- Social media push - Yes, social media can seem like another job on top of your career, but being on social media is no longer "just a good idea," as more than 50% of seniors are on some social platform. If they are not finding you, they are finding your competition! Start being social and remind your audience December 7th is the last day.
Just because your AEP may be winding down, does not mean all the other ads and solicitations to try and turn your clients back into prospects have stopped. The more active you are in the market and with your book of business, the more opportunities you will open up.
