Wrapping Up 2024: Mirumee Software’s Workshops and Celebrations

As 2024 comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on a year filled with teamwork, problem-solving, and meaningful connections. This year, instead of our usual Engineer Meetup with panels and Q&A sessions, we tried something new: workshops that brought our team together in a practical and engaging way.

Workshops Focused on Collaboration and Problem-Solving

For this year’s event, we divided our employees into small, interdisciplinary groups of 5-6 people. Each group included colleagues from different roles—frontend and backend developers, QA specialists, and team members from departments like sales and marketing.

The goal was clear: identify problems we’ve encountered while working with clients and develop a framework or prototype to address them. By the end of the workshop, each team presented their solutions to everyone, offering fresh perspectives and actionable ideas.

This approach helped us work with people we don’t typically collaborate with daily. It gave us a chance to see challenges from different angles and come up with practical ways to improve our processes. Ultimately, it’s all about working better together and strengthening our relationships with clients, both current and future.

Ending the Year with a Christmas Party

After the workshops, we gathered at our headquarters for our annual Christmas party. It was a relaxed evening filled with good food, conversation, and activities that brought everyone closer. Traditional Polish Christmas dishes were on the menu, and the event had something for everyone.

One of the most memorable parts of the evening was the auction. Each employee contributed an item with personal or sentimental value, or something tied to Mirumee’s culture. The contributions ranged from coffee brought back from Brazil and sweets from Spain to a framed photograph by one of our designers, Mirumee-branded items, and even a vinyl record.

The auction was a fun and unpredictable way to spend the evening. Bidders only got partial descriptions of the items, so the true nature of their winnings was revealed only at the end. The proceeds went to a cause close to our hearts: the Polish Humanitarian Action, which is helping those in our region recover after recent flooding.

Thanks to the team’s generosity, we raised a nice amount of funds. It was a proud moment to see our team come together, not just for a celebration, but to support a cause that matters.

Looking Ahead

As we wrap up 2024, we’re grateful for the effort and dedication of our team. The workshops reminded us of the value of working together across departments, and the Christmas party gave us a chance to celebrate our shared achievements.
