Wrapping Up 2024: A Love Letter to Late Bloomers
Hey there, beautiful souls!
You know that moment when you're staring at your life and thinking, "Something's gotta change"? Well, pull up a chair, because we're about to have a heart-to-heart about exactly that. As I sit here in my new Melbourne home, watching the summer sunshine (yes, December is summer here!) paint everything golden, I can't help but smile at how life unfolds in its own magical way.
This time last year, I was in the USA, dreaming about a different life. Today, I'm on the other side of the world, building that dream piece by piece. Was it scary? Absolutely! Did I have moments of doubt? You bet! But here's the thing about change – it's like that first cup of coffee in the morning: initially daunting, but oh so worth it!
I recently came across a quote that hit home: "Sometimes the people with the greatest potential often take the longest to find their path because their sensitivity is a double-edged sword." Doesn't that just speak to your soul? For all of us who've ever felt too much, thought too deeply, or worried that we're running behind on life's imaginary timeline – this one's for you.
Why Your Sensitivity Is Your Superpower
Let's get real for a minute. Being sensitive in this world can feel like walking around without skin sometimes. Every criticism stings more, every setback feels bigger, every challenge seems more daunting. But here's the plot twist: that same sensitivity is what makes you amazing at understanding others, creating beautiful things, and seeing opportunities that others miss.
The Truth About Timing
Ladies(and Gentlemen and everyone!), can we talk about society's obsession with timelines? "You should be married by this age," "You should own a house by that age," "Your career should peak here." Who made these rules? Because I'd like to have a word with them!
Here's what I've learned: your soul doesn't know a thing about deadlines. It operates on its own divine timing. Whether you're starting a new career at 45, going back to school at 50, or moving countries at any age (??♀?), you're right on schedule – your schedule.
Your 'Take Control of Your Life' Toolkit
Ready for some practical magic? Here are my tried-and-true tips for creating the life you want (no matter what the calendar says):
A Note About New Beginnings
When I landed in Melbourne, everything was different – the seasons, the traffic direction, even the coffee orders! But here's what I discovered: new beginnings are like blank canvases. They might look intimidating at first, but they're really just possibilities waiting to be painted.
Your 2025 Permission Slip
As we wrap up 2024, I'm writing you a permission slip (yes, really!). You have permission to:
Remember, darlings, we're not being graded on speed here. Life isn't a race to some imaginary finish line – it's a journey of becoming. Your potential isn't going anywhere, and neither are your dreams. They're patient. They'll wait for you to be ready.
Here's to creating sustainable success, embracing our sensitivity, and remembering that every day is a chance to begin again. After all, we're not plants – we can move, grow, and bloom wherever we choose.
Universal Love and Abundance,
