?? Wrapping 2023 by Celebrating Afterschool STEM ??

Thanks to the support of our powerful partners, the year was?full of STEM learning, innovation, and impact.?As we prepare for 2024, let's take a look back at everything we accomplished together?in 2023.?

We inspired and prepared young people with STEM.

We raised national awareness to build a more diverse, inclusive STEM future for all.

We built sustainable STEM support systems for kids by cultivating the capacity of almost 70,000 programs and 180,000 out-of-school educators nationwide.?

We served millions more youth in all 50 states. Compared to other programs nationally, our young people?experienced significant gains: 56% increased their?STEM identity; 77% grew their perseverance and critical thinking skills; and 63% increased their interest in STEM careers.?

The end of the year is also a cheerful time.?Motivated by STEM Next’s ambitious focus to inspire 20 million more young people with STEM opportunities in the next four years, we celebrated the power of out-of-school STEM learning.

From building critical skills for our future?workforce to sparking joy, safety, and?experiential learning, we counted down 20 reasons why afterschool STEM matters.?

We are expanding opportunities to ensure every young person has access to STEM programs, a sense of belonging, and the champions they need for whatever comes NEXT.
