HANDLING & STORAGE

?

Fiber Cement Corrugated Roofing?sheets should always be placed on a level and on dry support.

In case of long-term storage, it should be covered or kept under roof. The low corrugation of the roofing sheets should always be placed at the same side of the stack.

If the product is not going to be used on site, please ensure that it is wrapped while still in the stack as continuous wetting and drying of the products should be avoided.

Any fibre cement product should be stored inside a building. The reason for this is that they could be subject to damage from any accidental collisions (whether that be customer or staff at fault) or site debris.

With a fibre cement product being stored outside without any protection, rainwater, condensation and extreme weather conditions can impact the health of the product.

All fibre cement products are wrapped in a custom shrink wrap to protect the product from the exterior atmosphere. We recommend that the wrapping is not removed until the product is ready to be installed. If you have over-ordered and you have remaining product, to keep the product in the best condition, please cover all edges with shrink wrap.

Should you order lots of fibre cement sheets, it is recommended to stack them on top of each other to help utilise storage space. It is recommended that you lay timber cross bearers at 50mm intervals up to a maximum height of 300mm. It is your duty to check and ensure that the ground is level, even and firm before stacking and placing the product.

Regularly inspect all fibre cement products to ensure that no moisture has penetrated the shrink wrap covering; even if the product is stored inside or outside.

Please do not drag or slide a sheet from any fibre cement stack. The best way to take a sheet off of a stack is to lift the product up with another persons help. Sliding or dragging a product over any fibre cement material harms the product and can decrease product lifespan.
