THE SUMMIT

It was not really intentional but it was interesting how the day ending up being centered around story telling!

Aaron Guilfoyle spoke to us about the post dreamworld landscape and how getting the right data, the right story and information to the Executives to make change is still a challenge and he has not seen the gold standard in organisations getting this right.

Dr Dave Anthony , Dr Laura Kirby and Gareth Beck shared an inspiring panel around moving mental health in the workplace forward. We talked about leveraging relationships to maximize a multi-disciplinary approach (think HR/IR/WHS) within the business to help overcome challenges and share in the journey to make change. I valued the diverse nature of their experience yet collective agreement on continuing to implement good practice in organisations.

Sara Pazell, PhD, CPE took us all on a journey. A journey of sharing stories to inspire, to imagine, to create and to make an impact. Sara, I loved the way you were able to take us all on a journey with you whilst imparting such incredible data driven knowledge with us. Inspirational to say the least!

Chandra Clements and Nicola Knobel managed to keep us all thinking when it comes to capabilities for the future, using the data we ALREADY gather to inform future decisions and how we need to think big picture in the organisation to help all workers feel empowered. We certainly leveraged off Sara's session to think how we apply story telling in these circumstances!

Sarah Gamble and Craig Docherty CPMSIA, RSP (Aust) had the honorable duty to finish the summit off and they certainly did a wonderful job. We dived into masculine and feminine discourse and how we can utilize both in health and safety. We also talked about their insightful project called the Hero Code. I love how they go past awareness campaigns and really embed and practice learning in the hero code to make lasting change in organisations. Thanks for the wonderful conversation!
