Would you support a ‘Made in Canada’ week?
As we approach Canada Day we could give the Canadian economy a much-needed boost by saying ‘yeah’ to one extra Canadian-made product each week!
- If each household bought just ten dollars’ of Canadian made product a week, it would inject more than $6 billion into the Canadian economy per annum, creating and securing local Canadian jobs.
- Locally made products provide a greater return of Canadian tax dollars to support our welfare and social obligations.
- Consider the flow-on effects of your purchasing decisions – every dollar spent on Canadian goods has a direct impact on Canadian manufacturers and growers, as well as local suppliers and retailers.
- Buying Canadian manufactured goods reduces our ‘carbon footprint’ which is one commitment we can make in the fight against global warming.
Let's just think the greater effect we could have on the Canadian economy if we put 'Made in Canada' a priority in our commercial purchasing strategy!
Encourage your friends and family to get involved in ‘Made in Canada’ by spreading the word on the importance of buying locally!
