RECRUITING: Companies in the retail and service sectors including 美国联合包裹服务 , 家得宝 and Gap are some of the first to drop their applicant interview requirements for?entry-level positions ?in an effort to speed along the recruiting process. Instead, they're turning to alternative methods such as solely relying on resumes, or skills-based applications. But could eliminating one of the most traditional hiring practices introduce more risk than reward??

According to a 2018 study by the Harvard Business Review, 19% of new hires that received a job offer without interviews were considered fully successful, but by the time they'd reached 18 months of tenure, 46% were deemed failures. Here are a few other ways to speed up your recruitment process if conducting interviews is still a must:

EDUCATION: Tuition-assistance benefits are trending across industries, but at financial services firm Andersen , they're taking it one step further: a fully-funded MBA.?According to education.org, the current average debt of a Master's degree holder is $80,494, over $60,000 of which is from school alone. Andersen's Enterprise MBA program, in collaboration with the University of San Francisco , will help offset those costs and is available to the company's global workforce of 12,000 employees.?

"We have a long-standing history with USF through our CEO, and that relationship has provided a unique opportunity to collaborate on these program offerings that are hugely relevant to our business," says Nancy Power , head of HR at Andersen. "This is really an option for individuals who are pursuing advanced degrees in general business administration and want to re-skill in those areas as well."?
