Anne, you are looking for “financial experts with a flair for communication”. Why are communication skills so important for a market trainee?

The ability to manage complex, large-volume financing requires a great deal of coordination and negotiation skills when interacting both with our customers and with internal interfaces. That’s why we are looking for trainees who like to communicate and enjoy exchanging ideas with others. Of course, discussions on an equal footing are based on a sound understanding of our financing and its structures. We lay the groundwork in this respect in the trainee programme.

What are the most attractive features of the Market trainee programme?

What’s special about it is that trainees go through our entire lending process during the programme and, as a result, get to know and understand “the big picture”. It also gives trainees a good overview of the various sectors in which we as KfW IPEX-Bank operate worldwide.

Another plus is the elective component, in which trainees can freely choose the area in which they would like to gain experience. They can also choose to go abroad at this stage.

What type of trainees are you looking for?

We are looking for trainees who enjoy juggling several balls simultaneously and keep track of them at all times. Enthusiasm, passion for the industry and a healthy dose of cool-headedness are essential.
