I wanted to do more this Thanksgiving holiday to add value to my network. I thought about this long and hard and decided I would like to extend an invitation to introduce the first 25 people who respond in comments below an introduction to someone in my network.
Here is how it works:
1. Identify one person I am connected to on LinkedIn by:
- Visit my profile (make sure we are 1st degree connections)
- Click on my 500+
- Click on the magnify glass on the top right of my connections section
- Type in the title of a person you'd like to meet and enter/return
- Scroll through the names and choose one that best matches a person you'd like to meet
2. In comments mention that you will send me the info in a private LinkedIn message (this will hold the spot of the first 25 people that respond)
3. Send me a LinkedIn Message that includes:
- The name of the person you'd like to meet
- A message that I will send to my connections. i.e. I would like to introduce you to Jane Smith, VP of Sales at ABC Corp. Jane works with Technology professionals to help them secure their data and access it 24/7. Jane noticed that we are connected on LinkedIn and I offered to make this introduction. I would like to ask you to take Jane's call, as I believe in the power of LinkedIn and networking.
4. I will copy you both on LinkedIn with the message
5. You can reply: "Thanks Brynne. Jane, I am looking forward to speaking with you. I have some flexibility Tuesday for a call, is there a time that works for you? If not, please send me a convenient date and time for you.
6. Pay it Forward
No matter where in the world you live, Happy Thanksgiving!
