Would you dare use HUMOR like THIS?
Heard this on CBC, Canada's national radio station, last night. They played the song only, which starts about a minute in. It illustrates a point I made in my book, Step Into The Spotlight!, which is that sometimes the best way to make a point is with humor. Fan of The President or not, hard not to find song hilarious.
Would YOU dare to use humor like THIS to make a point in YOUR business?
Love to hear your comments. (Let's focus on the issues of communication, influence, marketing etc rather than the politics behind the players, ok?)

8 年It's hilarious and totally appropriate given the subject. Trump and his administration deserve to be skewered for all the crap they're dishing out.
Caricature and Portrait Artist
8 年Yes, I certainly would. No question. I draw caricatures. Maybe I could do a live and accurate drawing of trump. LOL

8 年Love the humor--- political or not. Some people (me included) are not naturally humorous, other than cynical. It just proves that if not humor, then real stories work also. Now politically, I enjoy watching this. One thing Trump was to bring was not a normal "politically correct" approach to things. That's what he's doing and the media etc. are still not sure how to handle it. Humor works great.

8 年When I saw this I also thought it was very funny and shared it with a few close friends and family, but sarcasm really is not part of my brand, so I would not us ethis video or other satire in my professional life.

8 年I enjoy Randy Rainbow's humor. Does satire work in business? Yes, if you're in the humor business, which I am not. The question of using humor in business has come up again and again. Each new post is about a new example, and yet . . . ALL the examples are about Trump. If the real point to be discussed is humor/satire in marketing, surely there should be some examples to look at that aren't Trump-related. Otherwise it just comes across as "Let's all laugh at Trump some more." In other words, I agree with Doug Jenner.
