BETTER BUSINESS: Is it worth getting divorced for?
There’s some statistic that’s bandied?around that 50% of people who?enrol in?an MBA end up divorced. I don’t remember if that was true of our MBA cohort but it certainly was stressful?at times?????
Forbes talks about that stress here:
So,?is it all worth it??
Having done the MBA programme, I won’t say that I regret it, but it all honesty, it was an ego,?self-confidence or maybe even vanity study.?
I thought I needed that piece of paper, because I was a young GM of a 220 staff business & I didn’t think I knew anything about business!??
Strangely it hadn’t stopped?the board from offering me the?job?& I had already started turning the business around from a stagnant position, but somehow I thought people wouldn’t take me seriously or that maybe I was missing out on something.?So off I went, back to University.?
And as this article says, having that piece of paper certainly won’t do you any harm, but?I do concur that?you really don’t need one to run a business?either.?
“I’ve seen too many business owners think they’ll never have a profitable business without that piece of paper. I say they’re getting hung up on the wrong things. Instead of worrying about credentials for business cards and diplomas for office walls, I say focus on the business. What will your clients say to others about your business and about you? That’s worth far more,” says?Al?Moscardelli.?
And the EOS model actually teaches you much of what you would have learned in an MBA?or at Business School?anyway, just in a simpler, more pragmatic?& quite frankly, more fun way!?
So, forget the possible divorce & let’s start running a great business!?
BETTER LIFE:?A bed scrunchie?
Ok – you probably all know by now that I am obsessed with sleep. I have an?Oura?ring, I use another app that compliments it, that picks up on my snoring (Yes, I am a 51 year old overweight woman who may snore a little!) & my sleep talking (Come on, when don’t I talk??).?
And then I take supplements that help me to sleep &?use?apps & pillow speakers to help me get back to sleep when I wake up in the middle of the night.?
And it’s all because if I don’t get my 8 hours sleep, I am as grumpy as a Snow-white dwarf!?
And one of our challenges has been that I toss & turn a lot & so our fitted sheet doesn’t always end up being as?comfortable?as it should be.??
So when a?Facebook?advert showed me a bed scrunchie, I was excited… And yes, obviously very easily pleased.??
I placed the order, slightly nervous about ordering from a Facebook advert & within 14 days it turned up.??
And guess what? It works! When my sheets arrive back from the ironing man, I can now get my husband to fit them to the bed (I don’t do making beds or ironing???) using this bed scrunchie & it’s pure bliss.???
So if a tight fitted, smooth bottom sheet (flat or fitted) is important to you, then I would highly recommend this!?
PS: if you don’t have your sheets ironed each week then you don’t know what you’re missing out on – this is an essential as far as I am concerned???
