Worth celebrating ... professional coaching

International Coaching Week (ICW), scheduled for May 7–13, is an annual week-long global celebration of the coaching profession.

Our ICF Australasia Chapter with our 10 branches across Australia and New Zealand is in full swing ready for a week. We are bringing to you, our members, our stakeholders, and everyone interested in coaching, five world-class webinars in five days.

ICF (International Coach Federation), the world's largest and most widespread coach membership and credentialing body, defines coaching as

Partnering - walking alongside. Thought-provoking and creative - challenge and support. Inspires - energy and commitment. Personal and professional potential - across their work, life and world domains.

Why celebrate?

Coaching happens in organisations, with individuals, in teams and groups. Coaching is a positive investment where the impact is not just felt within the person being coached. The impact is often far-reaching rippling through colleagues, family, friends, community and ultimately the society we live and work in. Coaching disciplines include life, leadership, executive, transition, career, medical, health, wellbeing, spiritual and much more.

Who coaches? External coaches, internal coaches in organisations, leaders and managers as coach - everyone who uses professional coaching principles and a coaching orientation to help another person experience a shift in awareness, thinking, emotions, mindset, beliefs and assumptions that create forward momentum to enable the individual to be the best they can be. That's who we are celebrating!

And, we are celebrating all the individuals, teams, groups and organisations that have benefitted from being coached and moving towards high performance and their full potential. Many lives change in some positive way, forever, impacting their own and those around them. That's what we are celebrating!

Will you be part of these celebrations with world-class presenters on the following topics?

  1. Exponentiality, disintermediation and the future of commerce. The role of Coaches in the transcendence of ‘humanity’.
  2. The Neurobiology of Somatic Coaching: Embody Your Social and Emotional Intelligence.
  3. Driving business success through mentoring and coaching the CEO.
  4. The Challenges and Opportunities for the Leader as Coach.
  5. Coaching for Growth - KPMG's Journey in Coaching.

Hi Grace, this looks fantastic - I'm working in HR and studying a Diploma of Professional Coaching, so I'm keen to learn as much as possible! I'm not an ICF member but am an AHRI member - I can't find details about the webinars on the AHRI site, and am not sure how to obtain the AHRI discount in registering for the webinar. Hopefully I'm not missing something simple. Can you advise? Thank you!

A very interesting event with great coaching topics. I would love to see sessions 2, 3 and of course 4 ??

We thought very carefully about what coaches, HR professionals, leaders and others with an interest in coaching would want to hear about, and then finding outstanding speakers to talk to those topics. I’m really looking forward to the International Coaching Week Webinar series!
