The worst thing than working with No-people is working with unreliable people!
With the Conference in Amsterdam about to start this week - affiliates of all and Sundry will be in town. The affiliate software that powers this vital-cog in the gaming industry is often developed by "third parties" Many affiliates I know have suffered at the hands of either incompetent software or even worse, simply incompetent marketing departments. This should be an interesting topic of discussion this week. Either way, the costs to the operators using this "third party" software not only affects the entire business model but also relationships and trust. I have had many people ask me this week how trustworthy are actual operators that brag of the best affiliate partnerships and deals in the industry. I am looking forward to the show and doing some more research into what affiliate partners may actually be losing besides revenue by trusting unreliable affiliate software or/and their incompetent back-office reporting methods. Affiliates out there - double-check all your links and reporting for transparency. Not all is fair in love and war. Hence, I thought rather than my opinion I would ask like-minded people at the show and here on Linkedin. I will follow-up this article after the show. For operators to be granted European gaming licenses requires transparency and trust. These are Paramount. How much due-diligence is done by the license-issuers on the affiliate-software operated by licensed operators? . After all, this can account for over 70% and in some cases even more volume than the licensed operator's website alone. Now that's something worth talking about in my opinion! Enjoy the show fellow-colleagues:)

8 年Maybe look into reversing/changing terms of contract. Reneging on deals that have been agreed. The dishonesty of affiliate managers when they re-tag customer accounts. It's also interesting to note which country most of these affiliate programs are operated in, and the lack of protection afforded to affiliates by gaming boards! It's a long topic!
