Worry Solves Nothing

Worry Solves Nothing

Future worry drains an overachiever's ability to provide creative solutions. Gently shift your mindset to something much more valuable.

We’ve all said to ourselves:

“As soon as I get this meeting/project/difficult conversation behind me, I’ll be in a much better place.”

The problem with this approach is that it distracts us from the only thing that matters – the now.

Our preoccupation with the future is based on the idea that worrying about an impending situation will reduce the frustration we’ll feel later.

This doesn’t work.

The “borrowing” of future angst simply adds unnecessary anxiety to your already stressful life.

When you sense your mind drifting towards a future worry, gently catch yourself and try this phrase – “Just be here.”
