No worries

Do you ever worry if the sun will come up? Probably not.

We don’t worry about that because we don’t have control over it. With or without us, it’s coming up.

Don’t worry about things you have no control over.

Worrying about things we can't control can be really harmful to our mental and physical health.

Plus, it never changes anything and you never get anywhere. It’s like going back and forth in a rocking chair.

Here’s some ways I’ve found that help me stay out of this trap:

1. Identify and make a list of the things you can control and the things you can't control.
2. Write them down and cross out the ones you can't control.
3. Now, focus only on what you can control.

Learn to trust this process and have faith that things will work out. Because they will.

If you want to kick it into high gear:

• Surround yourself with positive people.
• Engage in physical activities to take your mind off things.
• Limit your exposure to negative news or social media.
• And practice mindfulness to stay in the present moment.

So, here’s your Action Item and Mission, should you decide to accept it: Simply put your list together and give it a try. I know it works and I’d love to hear about your success with this approach.
