The holiday season is right around the corner. Life is about to get way more hectic than we're used to -- especially after the last 18+ months.
It's unavoidable. But with the help of these strategies, you can still maintain focus and keep your productivity intact (and yes, maybe still have some fun) during "the most wonderful time of the year."
Take Action. Yes, seems so simple. Let's be honest...sometimes when your to-do list is overwhelming, we get stuck. Action creates action. Sitting still and doing nothing is not going to help.
Get up, get out...do something - anything! This can be difficult as a solopreneur. Maybe you need a change of scenery (coffee shop, library...) or even listening to one good song that gets you fired up to tackle the day!
Schedule every part of your day. Crazy...but stick with me here. By time-blocking out your calendar, you can prioritize what needs to get done.

Take your to-do list and schedule it (yes, it can be around personal obligations or even just lunch). Then turn off all notifications (texts, email pop-ups, even the Amazon Prime delivery guy at your front door...) and set a timer. Now, put your head down. Focus on the single task designated at that time and...get it done.
Doing this (called the Pomodoro technique) will allow you to be extremely effective with your time and energy.
Have a closing time. Another concept that doesn't seem to apply to solopreneurs. However, it is a proven fact that you will work better if you know there is an actual end time. Not only will it help with the value of your work, but you will avoid the dreaded burn-out.
Not finished by the time you had planned for? No problem. You should end your day with a quick look at what your day looks like tomorrow. Prepare and plan out the night before. Not only will this help you stay focused, but you can look forward to starting the next day and enjoying your evening (maybe some holiday eggnog too!)
