Twitter reminded me that today is World Mental Health Day! This year's focus is Mental Health in the Workplace. Considering where much of our time is spent, I am THRILLED this conversation is happening. Recently, I have made a few professional shifts with the goal of preserving my health. Since my last LinkedIn post, I have supported my clients in various ways: Social Media Management, Blogging, Sales, Lead Generation and more. My goal related to that intense hustle is explained here:
During that time, in my client work, I saw that the best strategy in the world would not be implemented unless my client was mentally ready to execute. As a health advocate, it was not uncommon for me to talk about with my client about how they can take control of their environment. One quick and easy to implement a way to improve your environment is via aromatherapy. Thanks to how we were designed, our sense of smell allows messages to be quickly sent to our brain by way of our olfactory nerves. As a result, our mood and productivity can easily shift when we take in certain aromas. In challenging moments, we still retain a lot of control.
