• “Withholding” declaration from e-commerce associations

Withholding tax in e-commerce is met with a backlash in the sector. In this context, the Electronic Commerce Association (EL?DER), E-Commerce Employers’ Union (E-T?S) and E-Commerce Infrastructure Providers Association (EDER) published a declaration against withholding tax in e-commerce. The declaration stated, “The draft withholding tax planned for 2025 in the e-commerce sector at 25 percent for sole proprietorships and 15 percent for limited and joint-stock companies may halt the growth of the sector and encourage informality. It is anticipated that this situation will have negative effects on inflation.”
