World2020 : Now & Ahead

World2020 : Now & Ahead

#World2020

No matter how much we argue and debate on ‘who did it..’ but the reality is we humans have taken mother Earth for granted and now we’re paying the price for it.

However, despite the never-ending barrage of haze, global warming and pollution in mainstream media, a lot of us still have the mindset that it is not of great concern because it does not affect any one of us.

It’s just April mid and here is a list of calamities which we have seen since 2020 January..

1. Taal Volcano Eruption - It was not the only volcanic eruption that took place because Volcanic Ash Advisory reported other 25 volcanoes around the world are currently erupting.

2. Australia’s deadly bushfires - The fire killed over 500 million animals and left koalas in a “vulnerable to extinct” state.

3. Brown New Zealand Glaciers - The glaciers turned brown after being exposed to dust from Aussie’s bushfires and this could cause the glaciers to melt as much as 30%!

4. Vegetation in the Himalayas - We all think that grass is good right? Well not for the Himalayas as scientists are saying that this will quicken melt rates and increase the risk of massive flooding.

5. Floods in Dubai - The extreme rainfall is linked to climate change. It was so bad that the 3 hour rain is comparable by their usual one month’s rainfall!

6. Flood in Indonesia - The floods are caused by heavy torrential rains, triggering mudslides and floods.

7. Storms in America’s Deep South - Reports mentioned that while storms are not unusual during the end of the year, but the intensity of them are – and many are attributing it back to climate change and global warming.

8. Locust infection in East Africa and Pakistan - The worst outbreak of desert locusts in Kenya in 70 years has seen hundreds of millions of locusts swarm into the East Africa and Pakistan.

9. Corona virus epidemic..... - The world is struggling as of this moment

10. Global Recession - While the number of job losses and company failures remains uncertain, countries would be dealing with the economic fallout "for years to come". Many of the world's biggest economies would fall into recession in the coming months. Even if we don't get a worldwide recession, there will either be no growth or negative growth in many of the economies of the world, including some of the larger ones and also it's going to take longer to pick up in the in the future.

Our Universe and Life are both based on 5 elements, Air Fire, Water, Earth and Space and if we observe the happenings by joining the dots, we will understand that each calamity has affected each of the basic elements and now corona has actually displaced us / spaced us away from each other (atleast physically).

While we have discussed and researched enough to make our ‘lives meaningful’ but we haven’t yet understood the ‘meaning of life’.

Life is all about giving selflessly. We all come here to ‘give & go’ and not to ‘get & wait’.

Using this understanding, the sole purpose for every living human soul alive from hereon should be to build a resilient and sustainable future amid changing realities.

Let’s all make the best of the rest of the time.
