WORLD WIND DAY:
Meridian Quality Management Professionals Co. W.L.L
Centre for Quality & Operational Excellence
Every year to raise awareness about the power of wind energy and its role in addressing climate change. The day is also aimed at promoting clean and renewable energy alternatives and encouraging individuals, governments, and organizations to invest in wind power projects.
Wind energy is a critical component of the world's transition to clean and sustainable energy. It is a clean and renewable source of energy that does not emit greenhouse gases, pollutants, or toxic waste. Wind farms that harness the power of wind turbines are being developed all around the world, providing electricity to millions of households and industries.
World Wind Day was established by the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) and the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) in 2007, with the aim of celebrating the benefits of wind energy and educating the public on the importance of transitioning to renewable energy sources.
On this day, various events and activities are organized globally, including seminars, conferences, exhibitions, and wind farm tours, to raise awareness about the potential of wind power to combat climate change and meet increasing energy demands.
