Virtual and augmented reality
Virtual reality is the environment which is perceived through the use of headsets or helmets. The computer-generated scenes and environment appear real to users and immerse them within their surroundings.
Augmented reality uses the existing real-world environment along with text, graphics, audio and other virtual enhancements to the existing setting. One of the most common examples of AR technology is the Pokémon Go application.
Although virtual and augmented reality is commonly used in the gaming industry the technology has many other uses and poses a lot of benefits in other industries. VR/AR is used in weather forecasting, healthcare, automotive, education, space & military, architecture and more.
