PARIS?— Four days of racing on the courses for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris wrapped on Sunday with the 2023 World Triathlon Mixed Relay Series Paris.?
The U.S. team of Seth Rider (Germantown, Tenn.), Taylor Spivey (Redondo Beach, Calif.), Darr Smith (Atlanta, Ga.) and Taylor Knibb (Boulder, Colo.) placed ninth. The race format was modified to a duathlon (run-bike-run) format due to discrepancies with the water testing in the Seine River.?

At the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, the U.S. quartet of Katie Zaferes, Kevin McDowell, Taylor Knibb and Morgan Pearson won Olympic silver.?
On Sunday in Paris, it was Germany who claimed gold – with Laura Lindemann first running down France’s Emma Lombardi and then out-kicking Great Britain’s Beth Potter down the blue carpet to capture the win.?
Great Britain finished with the silver and Belgium earned bronze.?
