World Tour – Get to Know Singapore and Bulgaria

Hello friends,

This week I decided to tell you a little bit about my family roots in Europe and Asia. I am US Citizen now, but I was born and raised in Bulgaria. Bulgaria is a beautiful country in South-East Europe – a member of the European Union and NATO. The country is famous with its Rose Oil (base for most of the perfumes in the world), the Bulgarian Yoghurt, and the Tourism.

My wife is from another beautiful country in South-East Asia (pay attention to the “South-East” connection below). Singapore is perhaps the most organized, clean, and prosperous nation in entire Asia. It is a beautiful place to visit with a lot of touristic attractions, and yummy food. It is an independent country and city and the main spoken language is… yes, English! It is similar to the British English with some Asian spice in it – the locals are calling it Singlish. Singapore Airlines is #1 international carrier in the World.

Right now, I am living in Texas (near Houston). Houston is located in the South-Central part of the USA. However, if you take the Atlantic Ocean (including the Gulf of Mexico) for a reference point we can say that its location is South-Central to South-East. Notice that I have lived in three continents – Europe, Asia, and North America – every time in the South-East parts of them. I just found this funny common thread whilst writing this short article.
