The World talks to RABScreen
What a year 2018 has been. The continual negotiations and parliamentary in fighting have dropped the pound-dollar exchange rate which is now teetering at less than 1.27. When we first started RAB the rate was 1.62 but the benefit of the RABScreen far outweighed the dollar cost.
Our products are manufactured in the Chicago factory and here in the UK.
With the pound so low we have attracted business from many countries in Europe, the Middle East and the Far East. The RABScreen has been sold in Ireland, Romania, Norway, Belgium, Italy, France, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia.
We were on show as one of the finalists at the CBRE Great Idea Event and are working closely with their teams to ensure that more UK buildings get the benefits available from our product.
What is fascinating is the breadth of applications we have provided a solution for. HVAC people will understand cooling towers, air cooled chillers and condensers and louvre intakes of all descriptions. However, we have designed and supplied specialist filters for the marine and paper industry as well as a sheep farm in NZ.
Has it been a good year? Not really because the UK market is so flat.
Will it be better in 2019? We already have scheduled orders in place for next year and so to all of my contacts I hope 2019 is a bloody good year.
