Today we continued the World Summit AI in Amsterdam. Following an inspiring Day 1, the second day of the World Summit AI carried forward the momentum, diving deeper into how AI is transforming industries and rethinking how we work, interact, and innovate. With a lineup of engaging keynotes, workshops, and presentations, Day 2 offered insights into leveraging AI at scale, empowering human potential, and bridging the gap between humans and AI.

The second day of the summit opened with a warm welcome from Maisie Holder of InspiredMinds! Her short but enthusiastic remarks set the tone for another day of groundbreaking discussions on AI's future. Holder emphasized the importance of community and collaboration in advancing AI and highlighted the role of events like the World Summit AI in fostering these critical discussions.

Next up, the Chairperson’s opening remarks were delivered by Jonathan McCrea , Director of Whipsmart Media , and Hayley Edmonds , Journalist and CEO of Sport Host. The duo introduced the key themes of the day, particularly AI regulation and its rapid development across various sectors.

Speaker: Katie Noyes (Section Chief in the Science & Technology Branch, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) )

She discussed how AI enables the FBI to enhance investigative processes and address cybersecurity risks, but also emphasized the challenges of balancing lawful data access with privacy concerns. Noyes underscored the need for ongoing innovation to stay ahead of AI-driven threats.

Attendees learned about the potential for these systems to manage large-scale projects by using AI agents that communicate and collaborate to optimize workflows. EY showcased examples of how businesses are already using agentic agents to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs. The workshop emphasized that the future of work will increasingly rely on AI-driven agents capable of managing tasks end-to-end, leaving human workers free to focus on strategic, high-value activities.

Euro Beinat closed the day by sharing how Prosus integrated AI assistants to empower 20,000 employees across the company. He discussed the journey of developing Toqan, an AI assistant designed to handle various tasks, from data analysis to decision-making support. By integrating Toqan into everyday workflows, Prosus has seen increased productivity and job satisfaction, with employees saving an average of one hour per day thanks to AI. Beinat emphasized that AI is not only a tool for improving efficiency but also for enhancing employee empowerment and freedom.
