World Sight Day 2019!
John DeGraff, CPI
Senior Marketing Lecturer Emeritus at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and cofounder of the Innovatrium
Yesterday was World Sight Day and Combat Blindness International had their gala at Monona Terrace in Madison last night. This organization is truly remarkable, they have decreased the cost of doing cataract surgery to less than $50. That is real! The organization screens 650,000 children a year around the world for eye problems and do thousands of surgeries to give them their site back. They not only do great work but are some of the most dedicated people I have ever met.
As the social impact advisor for ENATUS and AMA at UW Whitewater, it is truly a joy to see our students and faculty get excited and supporting their cause. Dr. Choton Basu got me involved several years through UW Whitewater ENACTUS (Thank you). Please check out their website to learn more about this organization www.combatblindness.org
