The theme of World Radiography day 2023 is "Celebrating Patient Safety"

The theme focuses on the vital responsibility of healthcare professionals in safeguarding the health and safety of patients.

As the theme, we the RAD TECH'S of SNS College of Allied Health Sciences celebrated the International day of Radiology by having a session on Radiation protection given importance to ALARA principle which reduce unnecessary radiation exposure with a goal to minimize the harmful effects of ionizing radiation to the patient and also the technologist.

World Radiography Day is celebrated on November 8 every year. The day aims to create awareness about the crucial role of radiographers in the healthcare system. It marks the discovery of X-radiation by Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen in 1895.

Significance of World Radiography Day is that, it honours the professionals in the field of radiography and highlights their crucial contribution to the healthcare society. World Radiography Day also attempts to educate individuals about radiography and how it helps in various treatment options.
