World with <No-Code/>

You've probably heard about the low-code or no-code movement, or the world as I like to call it. If not, I'll explain it very briefly in a sentence or something because it's easy to explain.

The low-code or no-code world is the ability to do almost anything without writing a single line of code and without knowing the topic.

so, let's discover this world ^^.

What is no-code?

The notion of no code refers to a software development mode that hides the complexity of the application's source code. No-code development tools combine different techniques:

  • Graphic templates and prepackaged widgets to assemble user interfaces.
  • The possibility of dragging and dropping application components to create the synoptic of the application, and to combine the different stages of the processes: conversion tunnel, order tracking, etc.
  • The automation workflow to trigger actions based on events, such as the generation of alerts or countermeasures below a certain threshold of turnover or traffic on a website.

Guided in his work by a 100% graphical development environment in the logic of WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get), the user will be able to carry out tests and carry out several integrations until the application works as desired. Presented differently, no code defines the ability to create software without having to enter a single line of code.

How does no-code work??

In traditional software development, programmers would write lines of code to create the functionality and behavior that was desired in an application.??

Writing this code could often be a complex and time-consuming task, which required programmers to have in-depth knowledge of multiple coding languages. Programmers would also need their own development environments, deployment processes and testing protocols.??

No-code platforms streamline that entire process and condense all those tasks behind the scenes. Instead, no-code platforms give users visual tools that they can easily operate to quickly build the application they want. There’s no need for the user to write any of the code.??

No-code VS Low-code :

No-code :

  • For people with little or no programming knowledge.
  • You tell the system what you want, and then build it.??
  • The app creator defines?what?the app does, rather than how it does it.??

Low-code :

  • Also, for people who have little or no programming knowledge, but a developer will be required to finish certain elements.??
  • App creators tell the platform?how?they want to use the components.?

Low-code and no-code platforms enable office administrators, small business owners, and non-software developers to create their own applications.

The rise of low-code and no-code platforms is largely due to the shortage of skilled software developers in the industry and the desire to shorten project delivery times.

WHY No/Low-code :

Implementing the No/Low-code platform has several advantages for accelerating digital transformation and reducing time to market. These are the most important :

  • Productivity and agility : Increase productivity and agility by giving business teams more autonomy on certain tasks and more time for IT teams to focus on value tasks increasing demand for technical expertise.
  • Innovation : By reducing development time and promoting agility, no/low-code platforms make it possible to adapt very quickly to market needs and changes and thus achieve continuous innovation.
  • Respond to the shortage of developers : by democratizing the creation of applications among non-technical profiles, these platforms help to meet the growing needs for applications and especially the lack of specialized skills.

Will no-code replace coding??

No, it won't.?

Developers can never be truly removed from software development. It takes more than writing code to make a good programmer – the logic, the process, and the skills are things no-code platforms cannot replicate. No-code cannot replace the expertise of software developers and coding. That will be its own undoing.
