World Mental Health Day - 10/10/22
World Mental Health Day was first observed on October 10, 1992, by the World Federation for Mental Health.?This year's theme is “Make mental health and well-being for all a global priority.” Several concerns have been raised by the World Health Organisation (WHO), which indicated that before the Covid-19 pandemic, at least one in eight people worldwide suffered from mental health issues. Post-pandemic, the number has gone up, while we were focussed on responding to the physical impact of it.
Not just due to the pandemic, though that is a big reason. Also several other reasons - jobs, inflation, the war in Ukraine, and many more. Sadly all man-made disasters!
10/10/22 - there is beauty in the number. We could have been living at 10/10 levels. But our narrow, selfish view of life has got us into all the world's problems today! We can still move to a 10/10 consciousness. It will start with the intent. Then a lot of hard work, by one and all. We all are in this together.
Why the focus on Mental Health?
Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feels, speaks and act - Thought, word & deed. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices. Mental health is essential at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. Perhaps more critical in old age.
What Are the Types of Mental Disorders? Not all are disorders, but some are perceived as "problems."

What is the solution? What can we do about it? Here are some tips from Anjana Subash - Healing Coach & yours truly:
Seek help, professional help. Help was always available. Talk to a coach. Overcome the stigma of getting help. With someone who can give you a safe, non-judgmental, empowering space. Don't be influenced by the stigma of mental help. Don't overdo treatment too. Simple solutions like a deep conversation with a coach or healer would often be sufficient.
What is your hobby? A hobby just for the sake of a hobby. Not to monetize or get anything else out of it. Something you can escape into...? (ignore the making money part below, the rest may be useful!)
