we have experienced more than 100 days of war in Israel where Hamas committed terrible atrocities and then Israel rightfully responded to their attack, around the world we have seen pro Hamas protests, so called governments and city councils calling on Israel to ceasefire, they ignore the fact that there is no cease fire with a terrorist if you give them what they want they will win, what in the world are people who have no involvement getting involved it is none of their business at the Chicago city council to tell Israel to issue a cease fire with Hamas, the way the people in the audience gave a standing ovation after the proclamation looks ridicules on steroids, do they even know what they are doing what happened to thinking a little. the south African government called on Israel for a ceasefire that is a disgrace for a government who prides themselves on moving past the apartheid era and promoting rights for their citizens, Hamas doesn't deserve any rights they take what they are given and then turn it on its head and attack, they have no interest in a two-state solution they only want to rid Israel of all jews. one of the so-called high-ranking professionals at the UN gave a really unintelligent statement saying that Hamas is not a terrorist organization. if not for the honorable mention of Avi Hyman and Yoseph Haddad and others like them who make a effort to keep the truth out there it would probably be a lot worse, thank you both for standing up for the truth.
the art world isn't really doing much better jeff Koons is sending sculptures to the moon Artist Jeff Koons takes art to new heights with 'Moon Phases Project', sending 125 sculptures to space (msn.com).
can it get any worse no one will ever see those works this isn't about a work of art through his moon mission as no one will ever see them, this is another example of a marketing stunt to boost his name, like hirst burning his paintings a while ago to get some good pr. there is a certain woman artist who was recently invited to show in Venice and in berlin, it could be she is talented and after viewing her works she certainly has potential but the reason she was selected over other artists was the lack of attire in her profile photo.

there is hope there is a artist who is a hold out from when creativity did matter and has continued to develop and explore the creative process for more than 50 years his work is a example of what can be learned from this history of art and how to reignite the creative process that has been squished for far to long. his work has been drawing attention in Italy thanks to the amazing work of fabrizio sorbi and gabriella diddi they have brought out the potential to bring back creative expression to the forefront of our collective conciseness. the next show for DovBer Marchette Concept Context Content will take place in Montecatini at Palazzo Turismo from May 25- June 20 this isn't just about honoring Marchette's creative expression this exhibit will be another step on the way to reigniting creative expression in us all.

1 年Do I have to pay money to speak my ideas in public? That is the problem with our world right now.

1 年This is the same problem of "sovereign" corporate art markets that exist only to blind us more into addiction and ignorance. Changing the meaning of contemporary art to 15 minutes of fame art is not an exaggeration, and definitely not a twist on Warhol's own self-justice, as he was amongst many artists privileged at his time. The lack of privilege means more to some policies than the power behind the symbolic meaning of freedom of expression as a manner of people's intellectual exercise that should be maintained clear, uncompromising, and beyond doubt that great art comes from that, from knowledge that is not self-serving but serves us all as humanity.

1 年Regarding the stupidity in terms of thinking the arts today, I would agree. Not only thinking in terms of celebrity artists, but in general. It shows how fame and quick blinded fortune is the only thing those artists thing, even those who have been struggling for recognition and can't make it despite being talented, as it is the way that we, humans, allowed the art world to shift from creative and idealistic but yet talented, extremely intellectual artists of the past, examples would be the post-impressionists and also the German expressionists, as well as the Russian avant-garde who were pioneers in their ideas of going against the grain of injustice, sovereignty that acknowledged only what worked for the wealthy and powerful, and this in times of war, scarcity, paranoia, venereal diseases, etc.

1 年I hear your pain and agree that the People of Israel are in danger worldwide. But the fault does not lie with the world, college kids, or American Presidents. The act of terror that began this conflict lies squarely with HAMAS. I am Jewish. By the grace of God, I'm also a proud daughter of a Japanese internment camp survivor. I Understand the cost of war. Hatred and fascism will not solve this problem! Netanyahu is corrupt in his desire for power and his lust for revenge. Over the years and months before 10/07 he has tried to suppress Israel's judiciary, ignored numerous warning signs of trouble FROM HIS OWN MILITARY and failed to keep the peace. They held the door open for Hamas and now are upset that their guests won't leave. I don't usually speak in matters such as these -- but try and please, consider this. When you conduct a war, and it is for a just cause, YOUR CONDUCT MATTERS.
