World Glaucoma Day Advocates for Healthy Vision, Safeguarding a Bright World
Kunming Biomed International (KBI)
KBI is an international CRO specializing in pharmacology studies using non-human primate disease models.
Every year on March 6th, we collectively observe World Glaucoma Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about glaucoma, promoting prevention and treatment efforts, and urging everyone to cherish their eye health for a clear vision.
?? Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of blindness in people over 60 years of age and is the second most common cause of blindness globally. Despite the availability of multiple first-line treatments for the disease, patient′s compliance is a common issue. Against the backdrop of low diagnosis and treatment rates, as well as medication compliance, the unmet clinical need in the field of glaucoma treatment is significantly high.
?? This special day reminds us to pay attention to the latest research progress on glaucoma, to understand treatment methods and preventive measures, and to work together towards a future without glaucoma. KBI specializes in establishing and evaluating NHP models for high intraocular pressure glaucoma, providing high-quality preclinical experimental services to support the successful application of new drugs for glaucoma treatment.
??? Let's join hands, safeguarding human’s eye health with knowledge and action, ensuring a bright world always accompanies us.
