World Environment Day at MindZvue
People from across the globe came together on 5th June to mark World Environment Day planting trees and holding marches in an effort to revive what experts say is a planet on the precipice. A series of recent? United Nations reports have found that the climate crisis is accelerating faster than previously thought, with a 50 percent chance that global warming will exceed 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels in the next five years.?
Amidst all the hustle and bustle, it is very common for environmental responsibility to take a back seat when running a business. But what we don’t realize is that by going green, not only do we do good for the environment and boost the team morale, but customers too are more likely to associate with responsible companies. And what better way to honor this than by going green at work this World Environment Day!?
At MindZvue, we decided to walk the talk as our team members displayed initiatives that are not only impactful but sustainable over a long period of time. It was a delight to know that environment and earth are always on the front when our people go about their day to day activities. We are excited to share some of the selected initiatives of our members -
Amol Raike -?
He is a believer in doing impactful work. Rather than creating grandstanding claims like planting a thousand trees, Amol focusses on planting one and ensuring its survival over the next 2 years. His aim is simple: support the plant during its formative years, it will take care of itself in the years to come. From creating seed balls to placing food and water for birds in the summers, his solutions are simple and ecosystem friendly.
Aakash Singh -
Plants release oxygen but trees release even more. Based on this ideology, Aakash decided to plant some Ashoka trees in his home compound. These trees remain evergreen throughout the year and they have the added benefit of giving space and refuge to a large number of bird species and squirrels throughout the year. As he shares his home with animals and birds, he is entertained by their songs in the morning, more recently a koel couple roosting in the Ashoka branches.

Anupama Mehre -
Anupama is one of those persons who are not bogged down by limitations. Living in a flat, many people lament space constraints, but not her. She has transformed her balcony and her windows into mini jungles consisting of all varieties of plants and has utilized waste plastics and cans to good use. Not keeping the art to herself, her daughter has also joined in the mission and we are assured the next generation will be more aware than we are.
Vishal Purswani -
Strategic is the word that can resonate with Vishal's ideology at work and in nurturing nature. He has placed indoor plants at key locations inside and outside his house to extract maximum benefits like pure oxygen to enable a pollution free environment and finally making his house a peaceful, livable and sustainable place. His happiness and peace of mind is visible in his selfie.
Jagdish Sakure -
Not restricting himself to his surroundings, Jagdish has a long term vision of implementing things at a grander scale. With a rain water harvesting plan and methodology in mind, he is a man on a mission. Not only is he implementing various schemes at his home, he has reached out to the highest political offices with his suggestions to make change visible across. Kudos to Jagdish.
