World Dream Day

Small things. Big things. They all begin with a dream.??

That's reason enough why we, at Munzai, embrace and celebrate this day.??

Not to mention my journey to set up a company also began with that. A dream.??

With good old work, dedication, a bit of fanaticism and that elusive thing, yes, the lady luck, I was fortunate to realize my dream.????

2+ Years & Counting?

Today, nearly two and a half years later, Munzai's team is 30+ members strong.??

My SDRs and the marketing team helps international clients get appointments and close deals.??

Some of our clients have been start-ups.??

I am proud to say my team and I help these men and women stay true to their dream-?

The dream to have their own thing. Something they cherish.?

We do this together, one step to the next, closing deals, opening doors!?

And Attained Dreams Lead to Bigger Dreams?

To borrow from Robert Frost:?

"And miles to go before I sleep"??

It resonates deeply with me.?

I want to do many more things - fulfill many dreams - in this journey, we call life.??

Among those dreams, one has been to enable my people to achieve their own.??

No matter how small their contribution is, it is their sincere & honest work that I value.??

At the end of the day, that creates a significant difference.?

Tremendously Happy?

One of my team members wanted to pursue higher education.??

No doubt, education opens a whole lot of possibilities.?

It empowers people to think, to dream & ultimately achieve them.??

I am proud that the young man shouldered half of the expense.?

And Munzai Solutions bore the rest.?

It was a superbly happy moment when he completed his MBA.??

For him & for me!?

English Matters?

Telemarketing, cold calling and email marketing all require SDRs to have a good grasp of the language.?

But this is not about facilitating them so they can work better.??

This is about something that will get them on the path towards that dream.?

One of the members who has been with me for a long time, could not receive/complete his formal education.?

He oversees the premises and handles odd jobs.??

I asked him if he would be interested in enrolling in a beginner's English language class and see where it went.?

He beamed.??

Happy to say, his hard work and enthusiasm paid off.?

He is now in the third level!?

Proud Moment?

A while ago, we hired a lad to run errands and serve tea/coffee to the team.??

Once he gets the work out of the way, he is free to surf the internet.?

Our CMO thought that the guys were haggling the poor fellow 'bout something.?

She had a big smile on her face when she narrated the incident to me.?

The guys in their loud, and brash kind of ways were encouraging him to self-learn.?

They sent him links to YouTube tutorials to learn MS Excel through. It could help him grow.??

Perhaps get a better position in the office, or gain more skills to maybe land a better job after this one, use this as a steppingstone. Who knows...?

I am glad to have such people in my team who care about others, about those born in less fortunate circumstances than the rest of us!?

Last but not least, Munzai's CMO deserves a nod.??

I hear team members groaning as to how the time crawls and the day is dull when she is not around.??

She is a big believer in dreams.??

She had this neat piece displaying quotes on her table.??

One day it would be an Albert Einstein quote motivating her, and the next, Walt Disney egging her on.?

Then, last month, I noticed the glass case devoid of these fabulous quotes.?

You know what she did.??

She went around affixing these quotes all over the office.?

Sprinkling these powerful reminders so our team, especially, the SDRs remember:?

"To never give up hope and follow their dreams".?
