The World Day of the Boychild that Never Was.

In a world filled with colorful celebrations and marches, there was a day that remained in obscurity, buried deep beneath the lavish events dedicated to the girl child and women. Ladies and gentlemen welcome to the non-existent World Day of the Boychild, a day that never was, particularly in Kajiado County.
In this realm of irony, the boy child often finds himself lost amidst the flashy festivities held to empower and uplift their female counterparts. Picture this: the town square bustling with excitement as young girls adorned in vibrant attires gather, while music and laughter fill the air. Yet, strangely absent are the boys, overshadowed by an imbalance that has gone unnoticed for far too long.
Oh, how the world rejoices on the International Day of the Girl Child, celebrating their achievements and advocating for their rights. Schools, organizations, and influential individuals unite in a symphony of empowerment. But for the boy child, it seems that his voice is but a mere whisper, drowned in the loud proclamation of female triumph.
In this satirical twist of fate, we witness the Kajiado County authorities, quite unremarkable in their indifference, making no effort to recognize the boy child on this so-called World Day. No banners wave in the wind, no speeches echo through the streets, and no ceremonies grace the public squares. The boy child is left in the shadows, searching for his place in a world that seems to have overlooked his existence.
The irony is palpable as we imagine the stark contrast between the girl child's vibrant march for equality and the boy child's plight for recognition. While the former parades through the streets with fervor, demanding justice and change, the latter finds himself confined to the sidelines, silently yearning for acknowledgement.
One can't help but use satire to paint a vivid picture of the scene: the girl child, adorned with ribbons and flowers, her voice amplified through a megaphone, fighting valiantly for her rights. Meanwhile, the boy child, disheveled and dejected, watches from afar, as though trapped in a timeless purgatory, his voice stifled by societal norms.

As we journey through this world of irony, we find that the boy child's struggle is not a battle against the empowerment of girls and women. No, it is a plea for balance and inclusivity, a plea for a day to shine, just like his female counterparts.
Imagine a world where the World Day of the Boychild becomes a reality, where communities rally together to celebrate their young sons, brothers, and nephews. It would be a day of camaraderie, of recognition, and empowering young boys to embrace their true potential. Boys of all backgrounds and dreams would come together, painting the town with their vibrant spirits and colorful aspirations.
Alas, the World Day of the Boychild remains a mere figment of our imagination. But in this satirical tale, we are reminded of the importance of equality and the need to amplify the voices of all genders, irrespective of stereotypes and biases.
So, let us envision a world where the boy child is no longer forgotten, where his dreams, struggles, and achievements are celebrated with the same zeal and fervor as his female counterparts. Let us step out of this ironic reality and into a future where every child, regardless of gender, can bask in the spotlight of acknowledgment and support.
Thank you Enkii Boys and Ilkisonko Secondary for giving us the platform to engage your boys.
