World Day against Child Labour
Today, June 12th, marks the World Day against Child Labour, a global observance that aims to raise awareness and promote actions to eliminate the exploitation of children. At HOPE HR MANAGEMENT HR SERVICES, we stand firmly against the injustice of child labour and are committed to advocating for the rights and well-being of every child.
The theme for this year's World Day against Child Labour is "Universal Social Protection to End Child Labour." This emphasizes the critical role that social protection systems play in preventing and addressing child labour. By ensuring access to essential services, income security, and support for families, we can create an environment where children are able to enjoy their childhood, receive an education, and build a brighter future.
Child labour robs children of their fundamental rights and opportunities. It deprives them of their childhood, denies them access to education, and exposes them to physical, mental, and emotional harm. The International Labour Organization (ILO) estimates that there are still 160 million children engaged in child labour worldwide, with many trapped in the worst forms of exploitation, such as hazardous work, slavery, and trafficking.
At HOPE HR MANAGEMENT HR SERVICES, we believe that every child deserves to be protected, nurtured, and given the chance to thrive. We are committed to supporting initiatives and policies that:
Strengthen social protection systems: Investing in comprehensive social protection measures, including access to healthcare, education, and family support, can help families meet their basic needs and reduce the reliance on child labour.?
Promote access to quality education: Ensuring that all children have access to free, inclusive, and quality education is crucial in preventing child labour and empowering them to build a better future.

Enforce labour laws and regulations: Strict enforcement of laws and regulations prohibiting child labour, particularly in the informal sector, is essential to hold employers accountable and protect vulnerable children.
Collaborate with stakeholders: Partnering with governments, civil society organizations, and the private sector is key to developing and implementing effective strategies to eliminate child labour.
On this World Day against Child Labour, let us renew our collective commitment to creating a world where no child is exploited, where every child can thrive, and where the future generation is protected and empowered. Together, we can make a difference and build a more just and equitable society for all.
