WORLD CUP IN THE WORKPLACE

WORLD CUP IN THE WORKPLACE

The day is finally upon us, for all those Office Based football fans who have been long awaiting another tournament since disappointment of 2016; where the UKs Mainstream Media can build up the England Football Teams chances of tasting success on the international stage only to be swiftly shot to pieces by this time in 2 weeks - it all kicks off today!

And if you were to think I am going to be suckered into another year of Blind Optimism...you would be 100% Correct!

If your offices are anything like ours at the moment, World Cup fever has been on the lips of nearly everyone in the past week. But the football doesn’t have to be a distraction to your office but can be used to increase productivity and team spirit amongst everyone!

Want to Watch it, Earn it

OK, for once Englands Group Games will not be clashing with the usual 8:30am – 6pm working hours, but we face the very realistic/optimistic prospect of the Last 16 Match being Played at 3pm on a Monday or Tuesday. So how about setting individual goals/targets over the next couple of weeks to incentive your teams to earn the right to watch the game in the office when we inevitably get there!?

Generate Healthy Competition

Is there a way you can incorporate the matches into your businesses day to day activity? Here at Rutherford Briant we have adopted a nation each for duration of the competition and will be competing against each other each day on a targeted activity and using a score-based system. The winner come July 16th will be rewarded with a prize as will the 2nd place and 3rd place.

Office Sweepstake, GET INVOLVED!

There are no excuses not to get involved in the office sweepstake – the worst I heard this week was ‘I don’t know anything about football though’…What has that got to do with drawing out a piece of paper and potentially winning £££’s in return!? I have got full faith in Peru winning this years tournament!

So drape your desks in St Georges Crosses, prepare for heated hourly debates on Englands Starting Line-Ups and bring your Hopeless Patriotism behind our national team into work daily in the hope that this will be a great year for Gareth Southgate and his squad but also a great 4 weeks for your business as well!
