World Book Day, April 23, 2019

A few months ago, my young grandson was reading a Dr. Seuss book to me. While he was reading the book, I pointed out that one of the characters in the book, an alligator looking animal with wings, looked quite strange. He really surprised me with his response, which was, “Pop, in books anything can happen!” I had always been diligent in teaching my daughter about the importance of books and is appears that she has been equally or more diligent than I!

Today, April 23, 2019, is World Book Day. I would like to take this moment, this day, and this story, to encourage you to teach your children, nieces, nephews and grandchildren to learn to read at an early age and allowing them to commence a life-long adventure with the magic of books.
