World Biogas Summit and Expo 2023 Nearly Here

The World Biogas Summit and Expo is nearly here – taking place on March 29-30 at the Birmingham NEC Hall 8.?

Interest in AD and biogas has never been so great, with the world mobilising to #MakeBiogasHappen in response to the crises of climate, energy and food security.

The exhibition space has SOLD OUT. Over 150 exhibitors will be in the Expo Hall, displaying the latest technologies to enable rapid development, plant and process optimisation.

Over 60 speakers will address the event across its two stages, the World Biogas Summit and Engine Room.?

Speakers include the World Bank, IEA Chief Economist, KPMG, Biofuture Campaign, Big Oil, Ukraine’s green gas chief, Dr Oscar Schoumans and Green Giraffe which has mobilized investment of €1bn Euros behind biogas.?

There will be a focus on the world’s largest emerging markets with aggressive biogas targets, America, Brazil, India, Indonesia and Ireland. And the industrial markets opening up as demand for the green CH4?molecule as a platform for a host of bioproducts hots up.

The food chain, responsible for 25% of global GHG emissions, will be addressed from on-farm to food waste, addressing how AD and biogas can boost revenues, reduce input costs and fast track the journey to net zero, with insights into nutrient management with digestate, mineral recycling and improving food waste capture rates.?

A key driver of development is the emergence of carbon pricing and its growing impact on certificate prices, and a host of speakers will address how to benefit from this across the lifecycle impacts of biogas.?

AD and biogas is one of the fastest most economic ways to keep 1.5C alive, say the guardians of the Paris Agreement.
