The World in 60 Seconds - April 26, 2017

France: Is Le Pen going to get crushed?

No, no. She could win, unlikely to, she is not going to get crushed because a lot of people are not going to vote. And a lot of people that do vote are pretty anti-establishment and Macron can pretend he is not establishment but he is.

UK: Will Corbyn do any better than Le Pen?

Clearly not, labor party does not want to be led by this guy. It is massively divided; they do not know what to do on Brexit. The liberal democrats, though, likely to actually do better in this election.

South Korea: Will the next government be softer on North Korea?

Yes, and that is true whether it is the center right or whether it is the left that ends up winning. Either way, they want a closer relationship with Pyongyang. Watch what happens with implementation of the U.S. missile defense, THAAD, system.

Venezuela: Will protestors force Maduro out?

It is not the protestors that force him out, it is ultimately the military and the question is how much violence we need to see before that happens. It is not any day now, but it could be any week or any month.

Has Trump bitten off more than he can chew?

No, he is like a beaver, he can chew through some soft lumber, right? At the end of the day declaring war on Canada is like declaring war on your little sister, right? We can win that one, we don’t want to hurt them too bad. Don’t want to rough them up that much!

Look it’s the end of 60 Seconds! Don’t make me talk about you, little sister, or Canada! I’ll see you next week.

Fun to read - may not agree with all of it but still made me laugh. By the way, your description of Trump as a "beaver", was that a veiled adjective or could it be he could be thought of as a bit of a growler.
