Workshop on Research Proposal Writing

Bangladesh Institute of Democracy and Development (BiDD) jointly organized a day long workshop with Bangladesh Centre of Political Studies (BCPS) on Research Proposal Writing on Social Sciences. Ten participants who are faculty members of university, researcher and postgraduate students were participated. 

The workshop was conducted to improve the research skill for writing/preparing quality research project proposal. The workshop was directed to prepare research proposals for academic fulfilment, higher study or corporate and professional interest. 

The workshop inaugurated by Dr. Sabbir Ahmed, Associate Professor, Department of Political Science and Chair, BCPS. The distinguished resource persons of the workshop were Dr. Sharif Ahmed Chowdhury, renowned researcher and Research Coordinator, BiDD included Dr. Kamrul Hossain, Assistant Professor, Daffodil International University, Bangladesh.

The workshop comprised of classroom lectures, discussions and individual work on the most relevant topics. The discourse was demonstrated with practical exercise on research proposal writing for governance, women empowerment and women role in political history, corruption, digitalization, environment issue, public policy implication, waste management, rural power structure and international issue like Middle East issue and other sub sectors of social sciences. The Rohingya issue, another important contemporary issue, was considered during the exercise. The workshop concluded with individual research topic and discussion on the outcome of the exercise by participants and trainers.
