So a few weeks ago I posted about the benefits to a company wellness strategy that covered a holistic approach and have started discussions with one HR department about how we can help with their-
- Staff attendance,
- Staff health
- Team morale
- Staff energy levels
- Staff retention
AND MUCH MORE...
here's the thing, often work places can be the very cause of your weight gain or at least a huge factor, if demands are set too high, perhaps skipping lunch breaks to work through working long hours and stress.
Stress releases cortisol into the body, and high cortisol levels can make losing weight very difficult.
Then when you add in the long working hours making working out difficult, and the lack of work life balance, you can see how tough losing weight can be.
That's before we even look at the office bacon rolls on the Friday morning and the biscuits and pastries for someones birthday.
Now no one should have to miss on these but coming from a more informed mind you can make educated decisions on your nutrition and know how they won't impact your weight....
The reason I share this today is because I see work places could be doing more than just offering a gym membership and thinking 'that's a box ticked' and listening to staff about-
Work load and stress levels
Now i completely get that most work places won't like to admit that their are stressed, however they could even implement something as a preventative measure.
because less stressed staff are healthier, fitter happier and will-
Have better attendance
Work better and faster
Be more ambitious
